Hello. I purchased a placeholder in Oct 2022. Can I book a cruise on the Treasure in 2025 and use the placeholder if I book a cruise before Oct 2024? Thank you... and is the placeholder 10 percent off the booking price? Thank you . Diane

    Hi Diane,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for asking us a great question!

The Disney Cruise Line Onboard Booking Offer is a great way to keep the Magic going, even once you’re back on land. As you know, this Placeholder Reservation allows Guests to enjoy 10% sailing off prevailing rates as quoted on Disney Cruise Line’s website, with a reduced deposit on sailings that are at least 7 nights long. While blockout dates can apply and a Placeholder Reservation can’t be combined with other discounts, this is a pretty sweet deal in my books!

From what I understand, however, a cruise booked with this Placeholder Reservation MUST set sail within 24 months after its purchase, which means that you would need to cruise with your October 2022 Placeholder by October 2024. That said, I’d encourage you to either call or email Disney Cruise Line to see whether it would be possible to extend your Placeholder’s validity if you book a voyage on the Disney Treasure now, before she has started her voyages.

I hope my answer helps you plan the perfect vacation, in 2024, 2025 or wherever your travel plans take you! Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
