    Hello I have purchased a Disney vacation package through Costco, and have made our theme park reservations. I am unable, however, to find the actual tickets with the barcode to link in order to sign up for Genie plus. Help!

    Hey there, Megan! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your planning question! 

    I'm so excited to hear that you have a Disney vacation package booked and are now just weeks away from your visit to Disneyland Resort! Now that you have your theme park ticket reservations set, you are good to go! You do not receive your actual ticket ID numbers until your eTravel package is linked to your Disney account four days before your arrival.

    There are two ways that you can purchase Disney Genie+. The first way is to add on Disney Genie+ during the purchase of your tickets. If you do not purchase Disney Genie+ by adding it to your tickets at purchase, the other option is to purchase them each morning you wish to use the service once you have scanned your ticket into a park for the day. 

    Since it sounds like you will need to purchase Disney Genie+ after you enter the parks, I'd love to give you some tips to make it a quick and easy process. 

    -Make sure you download the Disneyland app. You will also want to make sure you can log in and once your tickets link to your Disney account that they show up in the "Tickets and Passes" section. This will let you easily access the tickets to scan into the park.

    -You also will want to go to your profile and add a credit card in advance. To do this, click on the three horizontal lines at the bottom right. Then scroll down on this menu page and click on "My Profile" and then "Payment Method". Here you can add credit cards that can be used to make in-app purchases, like Disney Genie+. This will make your check-out process easier for Disney Genie+ versus having to input your credit card information at check out while trying to walk through the park. This also will set you up for success and to use mobile ordering. I use this feature in the app as much as possible at participating locations to order snacks and meals and to avoid waiting in lines.

    -If you don't already have your entire party's tickets on one account, you will want to make sure to. do that so that you can easily select Lightning Lane selections together in one process. Otherwise, you would all have to try and sync up to try to select the same attraction and return time separately.
