Hello, I purchased an annual pass Dec 28, 2019 and it was unfortunately refunded because of Covid. Is my old pass still valid to be able to renew it or I have to go through the whole process again of purchasing a new one?

Hi Katrina! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you found us and sent this question our way. I'm happy to help!

I was also a Disneyland Annual Passholder when Covid changed things. While it was an unfortunate time, all guests like you and I who had annual passes at the time were refunded and renewals are no longer an option. After everyone was refunded, there was a time when annual passes were not sold and a new annual pass program, the Disneyland Resort Magic Key Program, was launched in August 2021. This annual pass program has been extremely popular since its launch and currently, Magic Key Passes are not available for purchase. For a few days last month, new sales resumed, but the Magic Key Passes quickly sold out again. While there is no guarantee that Magic Key Pass sales will resume again, it's possible. I'm sorry. I know this is disappointing and not the news you had hoped for. I would suggest staying tuned to the Disney Parks Blog website and Disneyland Magic Key on Instagram in the event that there is news about Magic Key Pass sales resuming again.

I hope you can visit The Happiest Place on Earth again soon! Whether you decide to visit Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, or both, the magic awaits you! The Holidays have arrived and the Disney100 Celebration starts on January 27th, giving you many more reasons to visit!

If you have planning questions, please visit us again at planDisney. You've got a friend in us and we would love to help!

    Wishing you magic,
    Lisa
