Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park! Leaving Miss Tilly impaled on the tip of Mount Mayday has allowed us to enjoy many days of thrilling water park excitement!
Gemma, at this time, we don’t have an official opening date for the 2027 season for Typhoon Lagoon. I talked with a friendly Cast Member and the one thing we do know is the last operating date for the current season is September 8, 2026. The Cast Member mentioned that it will close for its annual maintenance starting on September 9, 2026, and will re-open at a date to be determined later. Last year, Typhoon Lagoon opened on May 12, 2026, so there is a good possibility that Miss Tilly will still be in maintenance mode during your trip in April. Keep an eye on the

Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is scheduled to remain open during your stay in April. Have you ever tried plunging down Summit Plummet? Hold on to your Mickey Bars! It’s a thrilling twelve story free fall! I think I’ll stick to Cross Country Creek, the lazy river is more my speed!
Gemma, don’t be devastated if Typhoon Lagoon is still closed in April, give Blizzard Beach a chance! You’ll have a great time and make some magical memories, especially if you enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
