Hello, I am planning a family trip for Disneyland but want to clarify - am I able to use my Military Discount for all the tickets, or just my own? My girlfriend and I are not married, and it says I can buy 6 per year. But can I buy for her and her parents?

Hello there, RJ! Welcome to planDisney. We are thrilled to have you stop by with your military ticket question. Before we get to your answer, let me take a moment to thank you for your service! We salute you!

The Disney Military Promotional Ticket offer is something my family looks forward to every year. We love that they don't have to be used on consecutive days like standard multiday tickets. This allows us to visit the parks in separate visits throughout the year. You are correct that you can purchase up to 6 tickets per year, with one of those tickets being used by you. I'm happy to share that you can purchase these for whoever you want, including your girlfriend and her parents. As the military member who purchased the tickets, you will need to be present when you all use the tickets for the first time and show your military ID to activate them at the turnstiles.

Once you purchase your tickets, the next step is to link them to your MyDisney account in the Disneyland app so that you can make theme park reservations. These are required along with your tickets for entry into the parks. The Disneyland app has so many great features that are helpful while you are in the park. My favorite feature is being able to mobile order food from participating locations so you can skip the line!

RJ, I hope you have a wonderful visit during the holidays! We are here if you have any other questions.

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
