Hello I plan to visit Epcot & Magic Kingdom on 6/1. Do I need to reserve Magic Kingdom since it is a Saturday and then tap in and go to Epcot, or can I just go to Epcot and go to Magic Kingdom later (I am an annual passholder) Thank you

    Hi there, AmyLynn!

From one Annual Passholder to another, welcome to planDisney! I'm sure you are eagerly awaiting the start of your magical vacation, and how exciting that it's almost here! As Annual Passholders, we have some excellent perks and discounts available to us year-round, but since you're visiting in June, I hope you'll take advantage of the limited-time offerings available in EPCOT as part of V.I.Passholder Days. I grabbed my adorable Experiment 626 Passholder Magnet just last week and can verify that it's definitely worth a stop by Creations Shop

In my opinion, Park Hopping is one of the best ways to make the most of any Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and Park Hopping between EPCOT and Magic Kingdom Park is made super convenient with the Walt Disney World Monorail System. As you're aware, Annual Passholders such as yourself are able to Park Hop at any time, but there are some guidelines to keep in mind:
    • Walt Disney World Resort policy requires that Annual Passholders make a theme park reservation in order to visit Walt Disney World theme parks prior to 2 PM with the exception of select Good-to-Go Days.
    • Annual Passholders hoping to visit Magic Kingdom Park as their first theme park of the day on weekends will need a theme park reservation to enter regardless of the time.
    • Regarding your specific circumstances, you'll need to make a theme park reservation wherever you're planning to start your day (EPCOT or Magic Kingdom Park). Once you have checked into that theme park, you're free to hop to any theme park as your second stop of the day (pending capacity).
Whether you choose to begin your day at EPCOT or Magic Kingdom Park, I encourage you to join a virtual queue at 7 AM for one of Walt Disney World's newest (and most popular) attractions. If you hold a theme park reservation for EPCOT, you'll be eligible to join the queue for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, while a reservation for Magic Kingdom Park will enable you the opportunity to join the 7 AM queue for TRON Lightcycle / Run. If you are able to redeem your first virtual queue and make it to your second stop by 1 PM, you'll be eligible to join the queue for the attraction in that theme park...which sounds like an incredible Disney day! Did I mention that I just love park hopping?

I hope this was helpful AmyLynn, and that your upcoming vacation is filled with magical memories. If you have any additional questions as you plan, feel free to stop back by. I'm always happy to help!

    Lizzie
