Hello! I was looking to book a reservation for the Donald Duck dinner at Storytellers Cafe when I’m visiting on 9/3, but the dates from 8/22-9/7 are blocked out. Does this mean that there are no reservations available for those dates? Thanks! -Jon

Hello there, Jonathan! It's so nice to see you back with another great question for us. Welcome back to planDisney!

An important part of my planning for every Disneyland visit is the food! I love that there have been so many fun dining options for Storytellers Cafe lately. Unfortunately, the Donald's Tale of Adventure Dinner Buffet only runs through August 21, 2025. I do have some hopefully great news for you, though! Just this past week, Clarabelle's Enchanted Halloween Dinner was announced to run from August 22 through October 31, 2025, and the buffet menu looks delicious! I did take a peek at reservation availability, and it really all depends on how many you have in your party. I looked for smaller parties of 1-3 Guests, and there wasn't really any availability. However, when I bumped it up for a party of 4 or more, there was so much more availability! I am not sure why that is?

If you have a smaller party and can't find the reservation you are looking for, I always recommend just keeping an eye on availability, especially in the few days leading up to your arrival. Guests are known to overbook their plans and then drop reservations last minute. It's easy to do in the Disneyland app even when you are in the parks. I've been able to grab last-minute reservations quite regularly because of this. Another option is to just visit the host stand earlier in the day to inquire about walk-up reservations.

Jonathan, I hope this information is helpful in your planning. You can always reach back out to us if you need any more help!
