Hello! I am leaving for Disney world April 8, and I want to make fast pass + reservations (we have a part of 8). 5 people have older tickets (2009) and 3 people will need to purchase them when we arrive. Am I able to make reservations?

Hiya, Ashley! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Aren’t FastPass+ reservations the absolute BEST? According to my family, there’s no better way to cram fun into your day with no wait!

There is a way to get y’alls FastPass+ reservations going as early as tomorrow, if you like! I’m glad you told me about the difference in ticket status. Those that have “older” tickets can link them up to their My Disney Experience accounts using the 10 digit barcodes on the back. That will assure the FastPass+ system that they have park admission.  As for the three party members that don’t have admission yet, you can easily buy tickets online and use your email confirmation to link them up to their profiles on My Disney Experience, as well! That way, you can start making FastPass+ reservations immediately, seeing that your visit is coming up shortly.

If you are using a Dave Ramsey cash-only type of budget, then you will have to wait to make FastPass+ reservations until you purchase tickets at the ticket window for the latter 3 people in your party. The FastPass+ reservation system is a smarty pants and knows who currently has admission (or at least you need to link it up and dismiss the notification!). You can follow the easy link up instructions on the ticket linking page.

If I may make a recommendation, try to snag a FastPass+ for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in Magic Kingdom. The animatronics and visuals can’t be beat! Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho, it’s off to fun you go! ~ Lindsey P.
