Hey Kerry-
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I asked my expert 8 year and 12 year old sons this very question about our trips because we designate an entire day to pool time. After pounding the pavement as theme park warriors, we need some down time. They want the sand, the ship slide and the lazy river. There is only one place to get these …
Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Yacht and
Beach Club Resorts. We loved waking up in the morning and heading down for a day of beach balls, games and dancing poolside. The Flying Jib is a pirate ship slide. Your son will brave the 230 ft seafaring journey into the soft sand bottomed pool waiting for him. If he is anything like my son he will do this over and over and over. Afterwords he can swim in the common pool or even journey around the island and under bridges on an inner tube in the lazy river. If you get down to the pool early enough you maybe selected for family of the day where you can choose and reserve your lounge chairs for the whole day. We arrived about 30 minutes before the pool opened and loved this experience, Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort: Kid tested, Disney Dad approved … we love this place. With sand in his toes and sun on his face your son may never want to leave.
If your family wants an opportunity to dine with Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy, I would suggest enjoying the Beach Club Breakfast Buffet at the Cape May Cafe. The gang is dressed in their best beachwear and come to your table for autographs and photos. They are so fun!
In addition there so much to do in the resort and on
Disney’s BoardWalk Area.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories!
