Hiya Darlene!
Welcome to planDisney! Mickey and his pals look forward to seeing you real soon at
Walt Disney World Resort. Congrats on securing a coveted reservation at
Chef Mickey's. Located in
Disney's Contemporary Resort, this family-style, character dining experience is a great choice for dinner after a day of making memories at
Magic Kingdom Park. Pair that with a viewing of one of Disney's new nighttime spectaculars,
Disney Enchantment, and you have the makings of the best day ever!
I have two options for your evening itinerary, Darlene, that include Disney Enchantment at 8:00 p.m. and Chef Mickey's at 8:45 p.m. Additional time factors to consider are the length of Disney Enchantment (~15 minutes), the walk to Disney's Contemporary Resort (~10-15 minutes) and the check-in time for your dining reservation (as early as 8:30 p.m.)
Option 1: Enjoy Disney Enchantment from Main Street, U.S.A., as close to the main entrance as you can get while still being able to view the dazzling projections that extend from Cinderella Castle. At the show's conclusion, exit the park immediately and head left to the walking path that leads straight to Disney's Contemporary Resort. Once inside the resort, take the elevator or escalator up to level four for your dining reservation.
Option 2: Enjoy Disney Enchantment from the observation deck located on the fourth floor of Disney's Contemporary Resort. You will have limited viewing of the projections but you will not miss out on the soundtrack, which automagically accompanies the stunning fireworks. After the show, take time to browse the
shops before checking in for your dining reservation.
I also encourage you to take advantage of
mobile check-in on your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. The ability to check-in for table-service restaurants in the My Disney Experience mobile app is an extremely convenient option for most Guests.
Have a magical day,
Jennifer
