Hello! I have a dining reservation booked for my party on my device. I have to cancel but the rest of the part can go. How do I give access of my reservation to the other patrons?

Hi Bethany! Thanks for visiting planDisney.

I'm sorry you won't be able to join your group. I hope you're able to visit soon and enjoy the perfect meal. In the meantime, I can assist you with sharing your dining reservation with the rest of the party. It will just take a few steps!

First, if you cancel, the dining reservation will be gone. If you want to keep the reservation, don't cancel. You were asked for a credit card when you booked, but that is a placeholder for your reservation, and unless your party doesn't show up, you won't be charged. However, since it is your credit card, please check the cancellation policy. Each location has a policy in case of a no-show or cancelation outside of the acceptable window. You'll find the current information on the dining location's main page under "Know Before You Go." Look for "Cancellation Policy." If you're uncomfortable with the terms, you should cancel and attempt to rebook under a new name and credit card. Availability is not guaranteed.

If you want to go forward with not canceling, you can link the dining reservation to someone in the remaining group. Advise a member of the group to navigate to the Disneyland Resort website and sign into their account. Hover over "My Disneyland" at the top of the homepage and select "My Plans." Hover over "Dining" on the next page and select "Link a Reservation." Next, they will manually enter the confirmation number included in the e-mail you received confirming your dining reservation and a last name. Since the reservation was booked under your name, they'll need to enter your name. Once this is completed, they should see the reservation in the Disneyland mobile app under "Future Plans" or linked from the homepage. Every member of the group can do this if they want, so it appears in their plans.

When the group checks in with the Cast Member at the dining location, they'll need to give your last name and let the Cast Member know they're dining with one less person. Ideally, the original number dines but things do happen, and I'm sorry you're the one to miss out this time!

    I hope this helps.
