Hello, I have a dining plan question...we will be arriving to the hotel late the first evening, at around 9 or 9:30 pm. Is the first day of the meal plan a waste then since we won't be there all day to enjoy all the meals/snacks?

Hello and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

The Walt Disney World Dining Plan is a great way to keep your food budget in check.  Not only do you save on money, but the whole family is able to enjoy great snacks and meals throughout your WDW vacation.

You will not be missing out on any meal or snack credits on your first day.  You will be happy to know that you can use your meal and snack credits anyway and when you want for each day of your vacation.  You just want to make sure that you use all your credits by midnight on check-out day. For example, if you choose to have 3 snacks in one day, then you may do so if you still have snack credits remaining.  Again, you control your dining plan.  My family and I never use any of our credits when we arrive late for any of our WDW Resort vacations.  We just enjoy them at a later time during our trip.  I hope this all makes sense.

Diane's Tip of the Day:  If you are planning on staying away from the parks on your first day, but still want to get out, visit Disney Springs.  There are some great dining and shopping experiences that you and your guests will enjoy.

Have a MAGICAL day and "SEE YOU REAL SOON!"
