Welcome to planDisney, April! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today about my favorite part of a Walt Disney World vacation: the food! I'd love to walk you through how the
Disney Dining Plan works, especially when it comes to Table-Service meals like the one you're planning at my #1 Disney restaurant,
Steakhouse 71.
When you're using a Table-Service meal from the Dining Plan, you'll get a full meal that includes an entrée, a dessert, and a beverage. Entrées can vary depending on the restaurant, but generally include a main dish with some sides already built in. Think pastas, burgers, chicken, steak, fish, or plant-based creations. Your beverage can be a fountain drink, specialty non-alcoholic beverage, or even an alcoholic drink for guests 21 and older. And of course, dessert is the cherry on top of your meal, and you'll have several to choose from!
Now, for Steakhouse 71 specifically, you're in for a treat. It's a modern steakhouse with a great variety of dishes, and it's absolutely included on the
Disney Dining Plan. When dining here, you can choose your entrée from either the "Entrées" section or the "Steakhouse Cuts" section of the menu. If you select a Steakhouse Cut, like the filet, New York strip, or rib chop, you'll get to choose one side and one sauce to accompany your steak, and that all counts as your entrée.
Then, you'll also get to select a dessert. The Steakhouse 71 Chocolate Cake is a fan favorite if you're into rich, layered chocolate desserts. And don't forget, your beverage is included too, whether that's a refreshing soda, a glass of wine, or my favorite specialty cocktail: the French 71.
Just let your server know that you're using the Dining Plan when you're seated, and they'll help guide you through your options. The Cast Members are pros at helping you get the most out of your plan so you can just sit back, relax, and enjoy every bite.
Have a magical day, April!
