Hello Benedict! Thank you for coming to planDisney with your
Walt Disney World Resort planning question!
I appreciate the need to plan to account for your child’s allergies; I am in the same boat with one of my children. Unfortunately, there isn’t an all-encompassing list of foods served throughout Disney World that are specifically dairy-free and nut-free, but you can begin your planning by identifying restaurants that look appealing to you and reviewing each menu to see what your daughter may be able to eat.
I found the
Walt Disney World Dining page for our UK friends and used the Quick Service filter to narrow my results. I then went park by park to see what restaurants and food types there were. Unfortunately, when I began opening up the menus for individual restaurants, the website changed from the UK version to the US version, so I imagine that is why you cannot view the menus. A quick search of my favorite Quick Service dining spots,
ABC Commissary (Hollywood Studios),
Sleepy Hollow (Magic Kingdom),
La Cantina de San Angel (EPCOT), and
Satu’li Canteen (Animal Kingdom), all revealed food options under the Egg Allergy-Friendly, Milk Allergy-Friendly, and Peanut/Tree Nut Allergy-Friendly sections. While you cannot see these menus currently (unless you use a VPN tool), you can rest assured that your daughter will have plenty of delicious food options to enjoy. When you arrive at any restaurant, advise the Cast Member taking your order that you have a
Special Dietary Request, and they will provide a binder with all of the food items and ingredients used so you can verify what you’re ordering is safe to eat! Typically, at most table-service restaurants, the chef will visit the table to review your allergy with you and try to modify something on the menu to make it allergy-free specifically for your child.
I would also suggest contacting the
Special Dietary team, Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com, before your arrival (but no sooner than 14 days prior) so you can discuss your child’s Special Dietary Requests.
Did you know you can bring food into Walt Disney World theme parks? We like to take advantage of this for our child so that he always has snacks available regardless of where we are dining. The only restrictions are that they cannot be in glass containers and that Cast Members cannot assist with storing or reheating items brought to the parks by guests.
I hope this helps point you in the right direction. Please feel free to
contact me directly if you have any follow-up questions or want to provide more specific dietary restrictions so I can give some recommendations.
