Ahoy there, Casandra! Welcome aboard planDisney!
Ah, the wonderful world of letting Disney do the driving. While our friends at
Walt Disney World Resort have said goodbye to the once-upon-a-time Disney's Magical Express, we sailors still have the benefit of official Disney
Ground Transportation options!
Since you've taken the "planDrew-approved" step of booking airport-to-port transfers, all you'll need to do is arrive, collect your baggage, and make your way to side B, level 1 - Ground Transportation. Look for the friendly Disney Cruise Line crew members opposite the rental car counters, and give your name to the attendant who should be able to verify your transfers for your party! I'd also be sure to have your
Travel Documentation and Port Arrival Form accessible for good measure, as you'll need them several times once you arrive at
Port Canaveral!
Hopefully, by now you've started - or maybe even completed - your Online Check-in, and know exactly when your Port Arrival Time is! This is important for several reasons, but knowing when you can expect your transfer to depart the airport is high on the list! Ride time from Orlando International Airport is roughly 40-50 minutes, so I'm always sure to check in with the crew around an hour and a half before our Port Arrival Time!
Oh, and remember, if you're flying in on the day of your cruise, the latest suggested arrival time to Orlando International Airport on Embarkation Day is 1:45 p.m, while the earliest departure time on Debarkation Day is 11:25 a.m.!
I hope that helps you plan for your stop at the airport, Casandra. Here's to you and your crew creating magical memories aboard the Disney Fantasy next month! Thank you so much for your question, and if any others surface as you make your final checks, please drop us another line here at planDisney!
SEA ya real soon!
