Hello, I am coming in May and bringing my nearly 3 year old with me, does he need a ticket? Do I need to prove he's under 3? Also he turns 3 whilst we are there will he still be OK to enter the parks? Thanks

    Hi Fallon,

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Glad to know you will soon be visiting Walt Disney World Resort with your little one, and possibly celebrating his birthday. How exciting!

Children under the age of three do not need a Theme Park Ticket to have fun at Walt Disney World Resort. I remember when I took my kids before each of them turned three, so I could save some Disney Dollars. It was a long time ago...

First, you are not required to show any proof of age, but it is always recommended that you carry a passport or birth certificate in case of an emergency. And second, someone once said that nobody ages Disney. If your child celebrates his third birthday during your vacation, he will not need a Theme Park Ticket for the entire stay. He will also not need any FastPass+ reservations either, but be sure to check for height restrictions. Visit the Planning for Pre-School Kids & Little Ones page for more ideas.

One last tip: be sure to note on your Resort hotel or any dining reservations about your celebration. And be sure to ask a Cast Member for a celebratory birthday button. See you real soon!
