Hello I am coming to Disneyland for my 49th birthday and I was wondering when the dates for January 2026 will be open for booking? Also when will the 70th merch be released?

Hello, Deanna, and a very warm welcome from a fellow Washingtonian! Thank you for stopping by with your question. What an exciting and very special visit you have planned to the Happiest Place on Earth! I love celebrating my birthday immersed in the magic - and January is one of my very favorite times of the year in Disneyland. But you're in for a real treat, Deanna, because you'll be celebrating your birthday right along with Disneyland's 70th Celebration! I'm so thrilled for you.

In fact, the brand new 70th Anniversary Countdown Collection has already been spotted in the parks! This bright and colorful merchandise just makes me want to "Celebrate Happy" and book a visit, right along with you! Hotel and ticket packages for next year, however, are usually offered in early Fall, as confirmed with a Cast Member. I recommend that, in the coming months, you keep your eye on the Disneyland website for available booking windows, as well as the Special Offers, Deals & Discounts page.

But you know what, Deanna? You might want to think about working with an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner who specializes in planning trips to Disney parks. These travel experts have in-depth training specifically in Disney destinations and can assist you in purchasing theme park tickets, securing park reservations, making dining reservations, and much more. What I also love about these amazing individuals is that their pixie-dusted services come at no additional charge to you than if you booked it yourself. That's an amazing value!

Don't forget, Deanna, sometimes part of the magic of a Disneyland vacation is the dreaming and planning along the way, as you anticipate the incredible memories you'll be making. At least this has been my experience. Then, when you've finally arrived, after months of imagining, and you're walking down Main Street with Sleeping Beauty Castle in the distance, there will be nothing left but to celebrate your wonderful life, in a magical place, with friends from all over the world wishing you "Happy Birthday." (They'll know it's your birthday because you picked up a complimentary Celebration Button from City Hall, like your planDisney pal suggested.)

Well, I hope this information has been helpful! And remember, if any other planning questions come up, like maybe how to utilize the Disneyland app to purchase your 70th merchandise using mobile checkout, please don't hesitate to reach out to me! I can talk Disneyland all day.

From the bottom of my heart, I wish you the most magical visit, Deanna!
