Hello. I am coming to Adventure Park from Japan in July. I am a big Anna fan, and I would like to meet Anna, but only Elsa appears on the app. Can I meet Anna?

Hello, Fumiya, and welcome to planDisney. Your trip to the Disneyland Resort is just around the corner! One thing that is so special at the Disneyland Resort is how many opportunities there are to meet Characters. Let's talk about it!

At the Disneyland Resort, you might encounter Characters during certain dining experiences, at dedicated locations, or even just walking around! You're also likely to see them during parades and certain shows. While the Disneyland app is a great tool for tracking down Characters currently meeting Guests during your visit, there aren't details about who will be where in advance.

Frozen and Frozen 2 are popular in my house, so I understand the excitement of meeting Arendelle's brave sister duo at the Resort! Anna & Elsa's Royal Welcome in California Adventure is the best place to start. It's located next to the Animation Academy inside the Disney Animation building. Hours are subject to change, but I've found it to be typically available from 9 a.m. or 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Check with a Cast Member near the queue to see if they might have any idea about the ideal time to visit for the best chance of meeting Anna.

In the past, I've also seen Anna in Disneyland at Royal Hall in Fantasyland – there's no way to know as you're in line who is there greeting Guests, but even if you don't encounter Anna there, you'll meet two or three other Disney princesses. I've seen Anna just outside of Royal Hall, too. It might just be a matter of wishing on a star, sprinkling some pixie dust, and having a little bit of luck when it comes to who you meet.

Fumiya, make sure you see the Paint the Night parade. There is a Frozen float with Anna, Elsa, and Olaf. It is a special sight, and the whole show is dazzling with more than one million LED lights.

Consider purchasing a dining package if meeting Characters is high on your list. Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures is definitely a royal experience, with select Disney Princesses in attendance! Breakfast in the Park at Plaza Inn is another popular option – lots of different Characters will approach your table for photos, and it is so much fun!

Fumiya, check out the Disney Parks Blog to read about all the other exciting things you'll encounter at the Disneyland Resort for the 70th Anniversary Celebration. If you have any questions ahead of your trip, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
