Hey There, Karen!
From a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member, "Welcome Home" to planDisney! While there are so many things to love about Disney Vacation Club, having the flexibility to use Vacation Points in so many different ways might just be my favorite part of Membership. Whether you're banking Points to save for a special stay, exploring the world with
Adventures by Disney, or even
blasting off to a faraway galaxy, your Vacation Points can take you to infinity and beyond! I'm excited to hear that you're planning to use your Points for a new adventure and I'm happy to share some details about how booking a Concierge Collection reservation works to help you on along the way.
While the Disney Vacation Club Concierge Collection offers you the same level of world-class service you've come to expect as a DVC Member,
the booking process is a little different from making a standard Disney Vacation Club Reservation. That's because Concierge Collection reservations can't be booked online –– since these bookings require you to convert your Vacation Points to Reservation Points, this can only be done by calling
DVC Member Services. Once you've looked at the
Points Charts and you're ready to book, you can give Member Services a call at (800) 800-9800 and a Cast Member will be happy to assist you.
Let me share a few other things you should know about booking a
Concierge Collection reservation, so you're not surprised when you speak with a Cast Member. Unlike DVC Reservations, Worldwide Stays with the Concierge Collection require a non-refundable $95 transaction fee, due once the reservation has been confirmed. These reservations are also subject to the
Rule of Four, which means that if you'll be booking and staying during the
same Use Year, reservations can't be booked during the last four months of that Use Year. And most importantly, once your Vacation Points have been converted to Reservation Points, they can no longer be used to book Disney Vacation Club reservations. This means that if you need to modify or cancel your Concierge Collection reservations, those Points can't be used to book stays at a
Disney Vacation Club Resort. Don't worry, though –– your Points won't be lost. You can use those Reservation Points to book another Concierge Collection stay before they expire at the end of your Use Year.
I hope this helped to answer your question and I really appreciate you visiting planDisney, Karen. No matter where your travels take you, I hope they're filled with pixie dust and Membership magic!
Happy Planning,
Amy
