Hello!!! I am a Canadian citizen living in the US. I was looking on the travel documents page and I am a little confused. I do have a US Permanent Resident Card, is that ok to travel on? Or would I need to get a Canadian passport?

Hello Latishia!  I'm happy that you found your way to planDisney with your question!  Having the correct travel documentation is very important to start your vacation off right!

Whether or not your U.S. Permanent Resident Card will be acceptable to cruise depends on the itinerary you are sailing on.  For example, Guests who are legal permanent U.S. residents must present a valid original Permanent Resident Card (photocopies are not acceptable) for closed-looped itineraries that begin and end at the same U.S. ports.  If you are sailing on a one-way cruise between Hawaii and Vancouver, though, U.S. Legal Permanent Residents need their original Permanent Resident Card and their original valid passport.

There are many itineraries to choose from, including the newly released Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 itineraries, Latishia.  If you have a specific one in mind, feel free to write back to us at planDisney, and we are happy to help you find the right answer.

    Happy Planning!
