Hey there, Barbara. Thanks for stopping by
planDisney with your question.
Barbara, congratulations on joining the
Walt Disney World Annual Passholder family. I know you are so going to enjoy making memories over your year of magic. I've been a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder for years now and I absolutely love it!
Barbara, the expiration date you are seeing reflected in your
MyDisneyExperience account is actually the date you have until to activate your new annual pass. Activation occurs when you use it to enter a
Walt Disney World Theme Park for the first time. After you've activated your annual pass by using it, you will see a new expiration date reflected in your account. Your new expiration date will be one year from the date of the first use. If you've purchased your new annual pass and don't intend to use it within the year timeframe you are given to activate it, that's not a problem either. What happens is you'll apply the credit of that particular annual pass towards the purchase of a new one at a later date. If the price of Walt Disney World Annual Passes changes during that timeframe, you'll only need to pay the difference. Then, you'll have another full year to activate your annual pass and then once you've done that, a full year to enjoy the magic.
I hope this helps clear up any confusion you might have had regarding your new Walt Disney World Annual Pass, Barbara. If you have any other questions about this or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Have fun and enjoy!
