Hello- I bought memory maker for our vacation but will be staying off property. In your opinion, do you think it is worth the convenience to buy magic bands when we get there? Are there any other benefits of the magic bands for off property guests?

    Hi there, Danielle!

You are really going to love the Memory Maker! It's the picture-perfect way to capture and share your magical vacation memories with great photos!

Even though you are not staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you can use My Disney Experience to link your Memory Maker and your Park tickets. You will also be able to make FastPass+ selections for your vacation up to 30-days prior to your arrival. You will be able to use all of these things by using your RF-enabled ticket media, your Memory Maker card, and any PhotoPass cards that you gather during your vacation.

Should you decide to purchase a MagicBand, you will be able to simply touch that MagicBand to enter the Theme Parks and also to redeem your FastPass+ selections. It is so convenient to have these things right on your wrist without having to dig the separate cards out of your bag. Plus, it makes for a pretty fun souvenir! The MagicBand can be saved for your next Walt Disney World vacation too!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Moms Panel, Danielle, and I sure hope this helps with your decision! Please let us know if we can help with any other questions you have.

Wishing you and your family a Pixie Dusted vacation!
