Hello,i booked the weekend at Disneyland where the candlelight will probably take place.how it’s affect the rest of the holidays celebration. The past years, can we met Disney character during the Journey in Townsquare?Did the Christmas parade run?thank you

Bonjour, Alexandre, and welcome to planDisney! The holiday season is my favorite time of year to visit the Disneyland Resort. There will be festive decorations, heartwarming entertainment, exclusive merchandise, and more to enjoy. Let's talk about the timing of the Candlelight Processional, a beloved tradition, as well as what else you can look forward to during your visit.

The Candlelight Processional is typically held over two days in early December, with a few evening performances. On those dates, you'll likely see some extra activity in the Town Square area, and the entertainment schedule may be a little different than usual. If previous years are any indication, you should still have a chance to enjoy the Christmas Fantasy Parade and meet classic Disney Characters dressed for the season. However, we won't know the exact details until the dates get closer, which I'll explain next.

The Hours & Events Calendar is updated on a rolling basis to reflect park hours and entertainment schedules up to six weeks out. That means we should have a better idea about what the first weekend of December will look like near the end of October. At that point, you should be able to confirm the availability and timing of any parades, atmosphere entertainment, and nighttime spectaculars. In the meantime, you can also follow Disneyland on Instagram and check the Disney Parks Blog for updates. Some initial details have already been shared about the holiday season – you can even get a sneak peek at the holiday outfits that Mickey Mouse and his pals will wear!

If meeting Characters is high on your list, Alexandre, I have some other ideas for you to consider. First, you can head to Fantasyland Theatre for Holiday Fun with Santa & Friends! There will be holiday songs, classic Disney Characters, crafts, and more. There are also a few holiday-themed Character Dining opportunities – I'm really excited about Mickey’s Christmas Carol Feast at Storytellers Cafe. Keep in mind that dining reservations can typically be made no earlier than 60 days out.

Alexandre, I hope you have a wonderful visit to the Disneyland Resort. If you have any other questions between now and December, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!

    Au revoir,
