Hiya Alan!
Thanks for your question and welcome aboard! There are so many exciting things to do on the
Disney Wish, I know you are going to have a fantastic time.
Movies on Disney Cruises are usually a fun mix of newer releases (sometimes even a premier at sea) and classic favorites. Entertainment is always subject to change, but I can share some of the movies currently showing in the Wonderland Cinema and Never Land Cinema:
- Descendants: The Rise of Red (TV-G)
- Inside Out 2 (PG and one of my new all-time favorites)
- Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (PG-13)
- Disneynature: Tiger (TV-PG)
- Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (PG-13)
- The Little Mermaid (Live Action) (PG and perfect for a "sea" day)
- Elemental (PG and totally gorgeous, highly recommend this one)
- Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (PG-13)
- The Marvels (PG-13)
- Wish (PG and seems like a must-see when you're sailing on the Disney Wish)
- Peter Pan & Wendy (PG) (Disney+)
- Next Goal Wins (PG-13)
It's possible that there will be additional options, too! You can find the full schedule in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you're on the ship. If the showtime for a movie you want to watch conflicts with another activity I recommend looking forward in the app to see if the movie will be showing again.
Do you want to know what my favorite tip is for watching movies on a cruise? Bring a light blanket or jacket with you! I often feel like the theaters are chilly, especially if I've been spending time in the sun.
Another great spot to catch a movie is up on the pool deck itself! Known as "Funnel Vision" and showing lots of favorite, family-friendly flicks, this is a perfect place to grab a snack (ice cream, perhaps?) and a deck chair to relax in the breeze. I especially love it when I can catch a nautical movie up there, like Pirates of the Caribbean or Moana! When Moana sings "See the line where the sky meets the sea" you actually can!
Have a fantastic cruise, Alan!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
