Bonjour Chelsea!
Welcome back to planDisney, and thank you for sending us this magical question! I always get so excited whenever I see fellow Canadians in our queue, and I am thrilled that I get to help you today. I absolutely love using the My Disney Experience mobile app while planning my vacations, as it makes this process so much more convenient, so let's talk about how your group can also use it for your trip!
One of my favourite things about Disney theme park tickets is that you can mix and match how you use them. For example, you could have a
MagicBand linked to your account while still also using the
Disney MagicMobile service on your phone or getting a physical card at a ticketing booth! That way, you can determine which method works best for you. Therefore, members of your party can use the
My Disney Experience without using a MagicBand! They will be free to use whichever method works for them or try different ones simultaneously.
As for your
Family & Friends List, there is currently no maximum number of people you can be linked with on your My Disney Experience account! However, if you are travelling with a large group, it may be easier to make certain reservations by splitting the group into smaller sub-groups. For example, suppose you are planning on dining at full-service restaurants. In that case, some may have smaller capacities, so it may be easier to make two separate reservations that are 15 minutes apart. Another example is if you are trying to join a virtual queue such as
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Technically, you should be able to get one return time for everyone in your party. However, it may be easier to split up the group, so you can have different people in your party try simultaneously and see which strategy works best!
I hope this was helpful, Chelsea, and that you and your Ohana will have the best day ever on your next Disney vacation. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach back out. Lilo and Stitch used to say, "Ohana means family, and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten," and there is truly no better place to get your Ohana together than at the Walt Disney World Resort!
Have a magical day,
Ariane
