Hey Carol! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I just know you are going to have a fabulous time staying at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. It is one of my very favorite places to stay.
I think you'll be happy to know that you will only need to go through security one time, at the resort, before you board the monorail to reach
Epcot. Once you arrive at the
Transportation and Ticket Center, you won't need to go through security a second time. If you are trying to save time, however, it isn't a bad idea to walk to the Transportation and Ticket Center from your resort hotel room. From Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, the monorail will make 2 stops before arriving at the Transportation and Ticket Center. One stop will be at
Magic Kingdom Park and one at
Disney's Contemporary Resort before continuing on to the Transportation and Ticket Center. Then, to get to Epcot, you'll need to switch monorail lines to get to your destination. The security line at the Transportation and Ticket Center is right before you enter this area. My family and I drive ourselves to the parks frequently, so we are at the Transportation and Ticket Center a lot. I am always pleased by the amount of Security Officers and lines open for bag check, there never is a long wait. Depending on where your room is located at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, this option really could be a great time saver.
I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask.
