Hello, Do you have any suggestions on the best places to view Wishes, and Illuminations? I don't know if i should reserve a restaurant reservation while viewing the fireworks or find a place on the grounds. Thanks for the help.

Hi Jamie! I strongly suggest all guests take the time to enjoy both the Magic Kingdom Wishes show as well as the Epcot Illuminations show as they are the best fireworks shows in the country in my opinion.

I never recommend getting a dining reservation at the Magic Kingdom in hopes of seeing the fireworks. There isn't one place where you can really enjoy and get the full impact of the show beyond seeing some of the fireworks in the air. Your best spot is in front of the castle if you have never seen the show as they often have things going on with the castle that you can't see anywhere else in the park. It will be crowded in the circle hub but it won't matter as most of the show is above you in the sky. If you want to see the show in a more quiet area I can suggest watching from Tomorrowland by Space Mountain. There are some tables and chairs there if you are lucky to snag one but you do miss anything shown on the castle front.

For Illuminations there are many great locations around the lagoon. I again don't suggest a dining reservation since there are only a couple of places where you could actually see the show and it is not likely you will be seated next to a window where you could watch. Try to find a place that does not have anything obstructing your view of the center of the lake as the show is based from that point. My biggest suggestion is to tell you to try to figure out what direction the wind is blowing and make sure you are not standing in a place where the smoke will be blowing at you. Some of my favorite places include Italy, the bridge between United Kingdom and France, second floor of Japan pavilion, and spots between the two stores at the beginning of the World Showplace. Illuminations is my favorite show and I hope you enjoy them both as much as I do on each visit!
