Hi Jorge,
Welcome to planDisney! It's always a pleasure to help a fellow Canuck with a
Disney World planning question, so thanks for stopping by. It's the merriest time of the year and perfect for your upcoming trip - you're going to absolutely love seeing the theme parks and resorts decked out in holiday decor. You might even see some snow on Main Street U.S.A., although it's a tad different from Alberta's snow!
Disney World
theme park tickets come with a flexible use window based on the number of days you purchase. You can use those days however you like within that window, even if they’re not consecutive. For a 4-day ticket, you’ll have 7 days from your selected start date to enjoy your visits.
One of my favourite ways to save a little extra on a Disney vacation is by using Disney Gift Cards. They’re such a simple way to stretch your budget a little further! I always recommend purchasing them in Canadian dollars, because when you use them at Walt Disney World, they’re automatically converted to U.S. dollars using the previous day’s exchange rate. The best part? You’ll avoid those currency exchange fees that often pop up when using a credit card.
My family loves using Disney Gift Cards for dining, merchandise, and all the little magical moments along the way. If you’re working with multiple cards, you can head over to
www.disneygiftcard.com to combine them (each card can hold up to $1000). Just a quick note - Canadian and U.S. cards cannot be merged, so if you purchase any Disney Gift Cards while in the U.S.A., they will show up separately from the Canadian ones.
I hope this is helpful as you're in the final planning stages of your trip. If you have any other questions, please feel free to
reach out. Have a wonderful trip!
Adventure is out there,
Candace
