Hello Can I bring my back belt float to castaway cay to use it at the water, and at snorkeling lagoon?

Ahoy there Suhaila! Welcome aboard planDisney! I'm so excited for you that your upcoming cruise makes a stop at Disney Castaway Cay! There's no better place to have the sun set on your vacation than after an incredible day on Disney's own private island paradise!

It seems like you've already heard about some of the awesome activities available on the island! Snorkelers of all skill levels will be enchanted by the undersea realm of marine life off Castaway Family Beach. Novices can follow the Discover Trail, while more experienced snorkelers may wish to tackle the Explorer Trail. Keep an eye out for the treasures untold you may find under the sea!

As an avid SCUBA diver and snorkeler, I love being able to walk right into the lagoon with my own gear - but a belt float may fall under the prohibited items list, as they're in the same family as pool noodles and rafts, so I'd suggest you leave it at home, and use that space in your luggage to devote to some souvenirs! The good news is that as part of any snorkel rental, Guests are required to also use the snorkel vests which have flotation properties built in! So even if you plan on bringing your own mask and snorkel, you'll be able to pick up a vest and inflate it to help you have the best snorkeling experience possible!

Here's an extra planDrew-approved tip: when your booking window opens, be sure to check out the Castaway Cay Getaway Package Port Adventure! This package gives you a discounted rate on three activities that help take your day on Castaway Cay to the next level! You'll receive snorkel equipment, a float or inner-tube rental for the day, as well as a one-hour bike rental! If you've never biked over to the observation tower, it's one of the hidden gem activities on the island and a bike makes the trip that much easier!

I hope that helps you plan for your trip this December, Suhaila! Thank you so much for your question, and if you find any others just below the surface, please drop me another line here at planDisney!

Until then, I wish you fair winds and following seas!
