Hi Kevin!
Thanks for visiting planDisney with your question.
I'm so happy to hear you're planning a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation in August, with a stay at
Disney's Contemporary Resort. The iconic Contemporary Resort is a fantastic choice for several reasons: proximity to
Magic Kingdom Park,
Monorail access, amazing views, and
incredible dining options - some of the best at Walt Disney World Resort! One of my favorite dishes ever can be found at
Steakhouse 71 - the Bacon and Eggs appetizer served at lunch and dinner seatings. Try it for yourself, it's SO good!
As guests of the resort, you do have
parking privileges included with your stay. Overnight self-parking is complimentary to Guests staying at Disney Resort Hotels, and Valet Parking is $33 per night (please note this price is subject to change).
For
guests with disabilities, Disney's Contemporary Resort offers accessible parking options. These spaces are designated for guests with valid disability parking permits and are conveniently located near the main entrance of the resort to provide easier access. Be sure to display your disability parking permit when using these spaces. My husband is disabled, and on our last visit to the Contemporary, all of the accessible spots were filled. I pulled up to the front entrance to help him get out of the car and into his wheelchair, where we were greeted by a Cast Member who offered complimentary Valet Parking. It was so kind and is a service offered to disabled guests if there is no accessible parking available.
If you're planning to visit the Walt Disney World theme parks during your stay, remember that parking is complimentary for guests staying at Disney resorts. Just show your MagicBand or room key at the parking booth of any theme park for free standard parking.
I hope this helps with your plans and preparations for your August vacation!
