Hi there Chantal,
Welcome to planDisney! It's always great to help a fellow Canuck with a
Disney World vacation planning question. Let's take a peek at how Park Hopping works.
Park Hopping is a great way to experience more than one theme park in a day! During my family's visit this summer, my kids were determined to experience everything they could in a day, so, like your plan, we began our day at Animal Kingdom, hopped to Hollywood Studios, travelled to EPCOT and finished our day watching fireworks at Magic Kingdom - it was an unforgettable day!
As a Disney Resort hotel Guest, you can take advantage of
Early Theme Park Entry hours at Animal Kingdom and then head to Hollywood Studios during the Early Entry hours. When you hop, it's important to keep transportation in mind, as the Park-to-Park buses may not be running early in the day when you're hoping to use them. You can check with a Cast Member stationed at the bus stops, as they can let you know when those bus routes begin. In that case, I recommend taking a bus to a nearby Disney Resort hotel and then catching a bus from there to Hollywood Studios. Buses typically run every 20 minutes, depending on the time of day and crowd levels.
If you would like a quicker and more direct option, consider using
Minnie Van Service Connected by Lyft (booked through the Lyft app). Minnie Vans can accommodate up to 6 Guests and include 2 child safety seats. The Minnie Vans drop off and pick up Guests at the bus stops, so you'll be steps from the parks and ready for your next adventure!
I hope this information helps with your planning, Chantal. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Adventure is out there!
