Welcome Back, Thomas!
Disney's Theme Parks keep up with all kinds of trends and technology. I love finding relics of the beginning days of Walt Disney World Resort, like the old powdered soap dispensers in Magic Kingdom Park restrooms or the Camera Center at Epcot that used to be wall-to-wall spare batteries and film canisters.
Yes,
Nikon Picture Spots & Photo Spots can still be found in select locations. Sponsored by a different company in their heyday, these spots were everywhere. But Nikon and Disney are upholding the tradition, now in a few different ways.
You'll find picture-perfect locations notated on paper park maps. Others can be discovered now through the
My Disney Experience Mobile App; when you open your app, click the map part at the top. Change the top drop-down from 'Attractions' to 'Guest Services'. Once the new map populates, these must-stop spots have a camera icon.
Take note to where
Disney's PhotoPass Photographers are stationed and snap along side them. These Photographers, who are usually in the best of locations, will take photos of you and your crew with their cameras (or yours!) for no additional charge. There is even a package called
Memory Maker where you'll have the digital rights to all of your PhotoPass photos that will include some wonderful stock scenic shots around the 'World.
And if you can believe it, some of the
most popular social media photo locations of today are in front of various colorful walls!
We'll See You Real Soon, Thomas!
