Hello, Are the height requirements for certain attractions with or without shoes? I have a toddler almost 38 inches without shoes and at/above 38 inches with shoes. I would like to plan ahead about what he can and can’t ride so he isn’t disappointed.

    Hi Kara!

Thanks for your question. Bringing both of my children to Disney World when they were toddlers, understanding the height requirements for attractions was something we always had to consider...

Height requirements are always with shoes on. Disney Cast Members will never ask children to remove their shoes if their height may be measured before entering any theme park attraction.

In terms of what he may or may not be able to ride, it widely varies. There are numerous rides with no height restrictions, some set to at least 32" or taller; so on and so forth.

Each park has their own restrictions, but as a sample, here are the height restrictions at Disney's Magic Kingdom:

    *Astro Orbiter – Any height
*The Barnstormer – Guests must be 35 inches (89 centimeters) or taller
*Big Thunder Mountain Railroad – Guests must be 40 inches (102 centimeters) or taller
*Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin – Any height
*Dumbo the Flying Elephant – Any height
    *Haunted Mansion – Any height
*“it’s all world” – Any height
    *Jungle Cruise – Any height
*Mad Tea Party – Any height
*The Magic Carpets of Aladdin – Any height
*The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh – Any height
    *Mickey’s PhilharMagic – Any height
*Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor – Any height
*Peter Pan’s Flight – Any height
*A Pirate’s Adventure ~ Treasures of the Seven Seas – Any height
*Pirates of the Caribbean – Any height
*Seven Dwarfs Mine Train – Guests must be 38 inches (97 centimeters) or taller
*Space Mountain – Guests must be 44 inches (113 centimeters) or taller
