Hello there, Abigail, and welcome to
planDisney!
Thank you so much for stopping by with your question. I got so excited when I saw that you've come all the way from beautiful Geneva, Switzerland! I lived in a small town near Geneva when I was 15 years old, so it's an honor getting to help you out with your vacation planning question today.
While there is currently no way to reserve return times for attractions at the
Walt Disney World Resort for free at this time, I am pleased to let you know that you are still more than welcome to wait in conventional queues at no extra charge. If you don't want to spend any extra money on
Lightning Lane Multi or Single Passes on your magical vacation, you definitely don't have to! I recently went on my honeymoon with my husband, and we decided to let things flow. We didn't purchase any Lightning Lanes, and we were still able to do pretty much everything we wanted to. If you're going to do this, however, I would have a specific plan in mind!
Abigail, what I found really useful on my honeymoon was to tour the parks in order. You could go clockwise, counterclockwise, or split your day in small sections. On one of our
Magic Kingdom days, for example, we arrived right when it opened and we checked off most attractions in Adventureland and Liberty Square before lunchtime. Then, we had lunch at
Columbia Harbour House and we kept going with Fantasyland until around 7 p.m. or so. Finally, we watched Happily Ever After from the Tomorrowland bridge and we finished up with a couple of attractions in Tomorrowland until the park closed. While we didn't get to do absolutely everything in one day, we were still able to do a lot! But if you're going to do it, make sure to take some breaks here and there. Especially because you're visiting during the Summer! Don't forget to stay hydrated and reapply sunscreen at least every two hours.
But if you're still thinking about whether or not it's worth it to purchase Lightning Lane Multi or Single Passes for your trip, I strongly suggest that you do. Summer is a pretty busy time at Walt Disney World, so if it's something you can fit into your budget, definitely do it. And if you don't want to purchase the service for all your park days, consider getting it for Magic Kingdom and
Hollywood Studios so you can fit more things into your schedule.
I sincerely hope this helps, Abigail! If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach back out to me so I can assist you further. I'm always available and more than happy to help! Go visit the
Jet D'Eau and have some
filet de perche by Lake Geneva for me. Oh, how I miss
la Suisse!Warm hugs,
Ana Paula
