Hey Krista! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited to hear that you're planning a vacation to the
Walt Disney World Resort. It's a great place to unwind, have fun, and make magical memories!
I see you're interested in checking out
Disney's Port Orleans Resort – Riverside and
French Quarter pools. I don't blame you! They're fantastic, and I'm sure your family will have a blast. There's so much to choose from, like the Doubloon Lagoon waterslides, and the Ol’ Man Island swimmin’ and fishin’ hole. You won't regret trying them out!
I spoke to another friendly Disney World Cast Member, Krista, who told me that there are no height restrictions for waterslides. However, kids must be 48" or shorter to play at the Doubloon Lagoon Water Play Area. Krista also mentioned that parents should use their judgment to decide if an attraction is safe for their children.
It's worth noting that the availability of lifeguards varies by pool and can change at any time. So, it's best to double-check with your resort during check-in to ensure you and your family are safe.
I did some digging on the pool details to help you make an informed decision. The Doubloon Lagoon Pool has a maximum depth of 4 ft. 6 in., and the waterslide is 51 ft. long. The Ol’ Man Island Pool has a maximum depth of 5 ft., and the waterslide is 95 ft. long. The Alligator Bayou Pool 1 has a maximum depth of 6 ft., while Alligator Bayou Pools 2 and 3, and Magnolia Bend Pools 1 and 2 have a maximum depth of 5 ft.
I hope this information is helpful, Krista! Please
don't hesitate to reach out if you have any more questions. I'm always here to help you plan your magical vacation!
Cheers
Nilson
