Greetings, Paulette! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel and asking your question.
If you’re traveling with little ones, being attuned to the different height requirements for attractions is a smart idea. The first thing to know is that there are a multitude of attractions at the Walt Disney World Resort that don’t have any height restrictions at all. This means even the littlest of Guests can ride with an adult. Then there are attractions that are meant for slightly older kiddos with 32” height requirements, exhilarating roller coasters that require riders to be at least 48” tall, and lots of variations in between. If you head to the
“Attractions” page, you can filter by height to see the different attractions based on their height requirements. You can also filter by theme park to narrow the list down to the parks you will be visiting.
If there is an attraction that some members of your party aren’t able to ride due to the height restriction, you can take advantage of
Rider Switch. This service allows one adult to wait with the child(ren) outside of the attraction while other members of the party ride. When the first group is done riding, they take over supervising the child and the waiting adult and up to two other people can now ride the attraction with minimal waiting. It’s a great service for anyone traveling with kids!
I hope this information was helpful. Happy planning!
