Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Debby!
Pandora – The World of Avatar is truly breathtaking, and is one of my very favorite places at the Walt Disney World Resort. The floating mountains, bioluminescent plant life, and Na’vi customs visible throughout the land make Pandora a fabulous place to explore, and being view the landscape from high above – on the back of a banshee! - is an incredible experience.
On my most recent visit, I had some major pixie dust and was able to ride
Avatar Flight of Passage three times in a row! The friends I was with were laughing because I cried all three times – the attraction is just that beautiful. I hope you love it just as much as I do!
Debby, Guests must be 44 inches or taller in order to ride a banshee on Avatar Flight of Passage. If you’ll be traveling with a Mouseketeer who hasn’t reached the minimum height,
Rider Switch Service may be a good option for you. With Rider Switch Service, you’ll be able to wait with any non-riders while your party rides, and then switch with an adult rider so you’re able to have your chance to ride. You may also find
this list of attractions, which can be filtered by height requirements, handy.
Enjoy exploring Pandora! I highly recommend a visit to
Pongu Pongu, which sells a delicious sweet and sour frozen drink called the Night Blossom. They also sell Pongu Lumpia, which are delicious pastry pockets filled with pineapple. So yummy!
Sivako, Debby! That means “rise to the challenge” in Na’vi, and I hope you love every moment of soaring above Pandora on your banshee.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
