Hi, Rod!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You’re sure to find plenty of attractions and entertainment your group can all enjoy together at the Disneyland Resort!
There are many attractions Guests of all ages can enjoy, from Dumbo the Flying Elephant and “it’s a small world,” to Pirates of the Caribbean and Jungle Cruise, to Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters at Disneyland Park. If there’s no minimum height requirement posted at an attraction, even a baby can ride it. The whole family can also ride Mickey’s Fun Wheel, Monsters Inc. Mike & Sully to the Rescue! and The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventure at Disney California Adventure Park, just to name a few.
When we visited Cars Land for the first time, my son (who was 2 years old at the time) met the minimum height requirement of 32 inches for Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree, and he was so excited to go on his first “big boy ride!” Other attractions with a 32-inch requirement are Autopia and Luigi’s Flying Tires. Children who are 35 inches and taller may ride Gadget’s Go Coaster. After a child reaches 40 inches, he or she can ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Jumpin’ Jellyfish, Radiator Springs Racers, Silly Symphony Swings, Soarin’ Over California, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Star Tours—The Adventures Continue, and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. There are other attractions with minimum height requirements of 42, 46 and 48 inches. Check out the interactive attractions list online to see all the height requirements. You can also sort it by thrill level and age interest to help simplify your planning.
I hope this helps, Rod, and that you have a wonderfully pixie-dusted vacation to the Disneyland Resort soon! Please write back with any other questions you may have as you continue to plan.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
