Hi Kristi,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and hello to another Virginian. I see you have only a few sleeps left before your Walt Disney World vacation, and I know just how excited you are!
This past spring, my son walked up to the measuring guide on Primeval Whirl (which he had been DYING to ride) and discovered that he was finally tall enough! Our family had a dance party with the attraction’s Cast Member right in the middle of DinoLand U.S.A. before we all boarded and shared his first ride. It was a big moment, and I won’t soon forget how excited we all were and the look on his sweet face!
Kristi, I'm honestly not a huge fan of that attraction, and I cannot wait until he hits age 7. According to the
Walt Disney World Park Rules, if your child has reached an attraction’s height requirement but is under age 7, he or she will need to ride with someone 14 or older. To see an attraction’s height requirement, take a look at the
list of attractions and use the drop-down menu to filter by height.
Disney offers a fantastic
Rider Switch Service to help families who have children who don’t meet height or age restrictions, so be sure to talk to a Cast Member if you’ll need to take turns with another adult so non-riders are accompanied while others in your party are riding. It’s a really nice way to ensure everyone who wants to ride has that option.
I hope you and your family have the best time counting down to your visit to the place “where dreams come true,” Kristi. If you have any last-minute planning questions, please come back and see us!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
