Hello Sarra,
Thanks for coming to see us here at planDisney!
It's so fun to hear you're planning a surprise trip to the Disneyland Resort. That's such an exciting and magical surprise adventure!
When my wife and I and our son took our very first trip to "The Happiest Place on Earth," our kiddo was about the same age as your little one. We'd already enjoyed many trips to the Walt Disney World Resort and a Disney Cruise Line adventure, and we were so looking forward to experiencing the Disneyland Resort. We have so many cherished memories from that trip, and it was all so extra special as we celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Disneyland Resort.
You've come to the right place here to ask for planning help for your trip. We planDisney panelists love to share tips and ideas for making the most of a Disney destination vacation. While I don't know what specific help you're looking for, I'm happy to offer some general suggestions.
It sounds like you already took care of what I'd typically offer as a first suggestion, which is to
purchase your theme park tickets and make your theme park reservations. It also sounds like you purchased
Park Hopper Tickets to visit both
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park in the same day. That's great to hear, as I always suggest Park Hopper Tickets as a way to add even more magic to your theme park days. With a Park Hopper ticket, you would first enter the theme park for which your made your theme park reservation, and then you could hop over to the other theme park beginning at 1 p.m.
Speaking of theme park day fun, I think you'll find so much to love when you visit the parks. Whether you're talking about classic attractions like
Peter Pan's Flight and
Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, or new experiences like
Avengers Campus, you'll find lots of magic awaiting you. What I also think you'll find is there there's a wonderful walkability to the whole Resort and its theme parks.
I recommend downloading and using the
Disneyland Resort mobile app as a great way to manage your day-to-day plans and theme park fun. The interactive theme park maps are super helpful and and easy tool for seeing what's where around the Disneyland Resort and the theme parks.
I also recommend
checking out the planDisney Video Library to see the Disneyland Resort videos that offer a variety of fun and helpful planning ideas.
As always, Sarra, if there are specific types of suggestions you're looking for, just ask away here at planDisney. We're here for you and happy to help!
Enjoy your first visit to the Disneyland Resort!
Jerry
