Hello Heather! Do you think it is better to book our trip using a travel agent or researching and booking it myself? Thanks so much:)

It never hurts to check with a travel agent but as a rule of thumb I always visit mousesavers.com.  They are not affiliated with the Walt Disney Company.  The website seems to have the most up to date 'deals', however, it is not a travel agency.  You can always gather quotes. I always research and research to the 'enth degree before I book.  I have saved a few hundred dollars by researching.  I also recommend purchasing travel insurance for your trip.  Life is unpredictable and sometimes our plans are not our own anymore.  Travel insurance will allow you to receive a refund based on the policy terms.  I have done both and often purchase the vacation from the one that can give me more for less.  So, to answer your question, yes for both, but just be sure you are getting the most for your dollar.  Research the promotions that are currently offered at Walt Disney World, know if the free dining plan will be offered the dates of stay, or perhaps if there are free nights.  Compare prices, you can save a reservation online while you compare prices.  I wouldn't wait to long.  I have been in a travel agency and used their computers to access the www.disneyworld.com, received a quote that was $200.00 less than the agency quote.  The agency matched Disney quote and took an additional $50.00 off.  It was cool to be in the drivers seat.  Good luck!!!  Hugs
