Hi Jeffrey!
I’m so glad to hear from you again! Navigating the theme parks with diabetes can certainly be a bit tricky if you aren’t prepared, but I’m happy to help give some suggestions to help navigate this easier.
You’re welcome to bring your knapsack with juices, candies, and snacks to help keep your blood sugar in check. If you’d like, you can even bring a small cooler with some ice packs to keep your juice cold. For your insulin, it is my understanding that you can store it at any of the
First Aid stations across the Theme Parks,
Disney Springs,
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, and
Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park.
Here are some tips to help you navigate the Theme Parks. I always recommend making sure you have enough snacks or quick sugar sources. Make sure to stay hydrated, especially since that Florida heat can get to even the best of us. Use your
My Disney Experience Mobile App to help you locate nearby dining options and even place a
mobile order for food and beverages. Take breaks in shaded areas or indoors, it’s a good excuse to check out the gift shops! Most of all, listen to your body as you explore.
I hope you have an unforgettable time, and if you have any more questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
