I am heat intolerant and need to bring my frozen neck cooler wraps. I don't think they will fit in my small cooler along with an ice pack, or that it will work to refreeze them. Would I be allowed to put ice in the cooler, or once in the park?

Hey Howdy Hey Melissa and welcome to planDisney!

One thing is for sure, when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, being out in the heat will be one huge factor for many during their trips. While things such as cooling towels and misting fans will be more than enough for some, other things such as the neck cooler wraps will be great options for others. While you are allowed to take them into the parks, let's go over some details you need to be aware of.

Each day, many Guests will enter the parks with items that need to be cool. Per Walt Disney World Property Rules, Guests are not allowed to bring loose ice into the parks. While Disney does recommend solid ice packs, this may not work as you mentioned. One tip I give to many parkgoers is to get your ice after you get into the parks. Most quick-service and table-service locations can load you up on ice if and when you need it. This was a tactic our family used when our girls were younger to keep their snacks cool and the ice packs we brought wouldn't work with what we needed them for. I would make sure to pack a Ziploc bag or two so you can put the ice in so it does not get everywhere and melt where you don't want it to!

So many Guests from around the world visit Walt Disney World every day and dealing with the heat is always a topic of conversation. If you are looking for other ways to stay cool, check out the Disney Parks Blog. My friends and I here at planDisney put together of top tips we give Guests for staying cool during their stay which you might find helpful.

I hope the weather cooperates with you on your upcoming trip and gives you cooler weather. While in central Florida that may be a long stretch, I do hope these tips can make your trip a little more enjoyable. If you have any other questions please let us know, we are always happy to help!
