Other than the heat and humidity, how would you compare July 4th to Christmas day? And how would you compare the week of christmas to July 3rd through July 7th? Only gone at christmas but would like to come this Summer:)

    Hi, Connie!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for your question. I’m glad to hear you’re thinking of planning a summertime visit to “The Most Magical Place on Earth!”

Christmas Day and Independence Day are both very busy times of the year at the Walt Disney World Resort (as is any major holiday) due to kids’ school vacations and many people having leave from their jobs. However, of the two options, the week of July 4th is generally slightly less busy at the theme parks. Crowds are still likely to be very heavy--think 9 out of 10, versus 10 out of 10 on Christmas week. While July is obviously one of the warmest months of the year, there is also a high chance that you will encounter showers, but storms usually pass quickly. Since that week of July is so popular at the resort, the entertainment schedule will be bustling and daily park hours will be long. You’ll have plenty to explore and experience, especially with all of the exciting additions in New Fantasyland

I hope this helps, Connie, and that you have a wonderfully pixie-dusted visit to Walt Disney World. Please feel free to write back with any other questions you may have as you continue to plan.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
