We have our hearts set on eating at the "Be Our Guest restaurant". We are worried about being able to make reservations. The 180 days and ten forward, didn't help us last time. Why can't we make reservations for dining when we make reservation

    Hi Penny:

While we don't have a direct line of sight into Disney's Advance Dining Reservation window decision-process at the Moms Panel, Disney sets the dining reservation booking window after considering a number of factors including Guest preferences.  Disney World actually switched from 180 days advance reservations to 90 days for a while, before switching back to the 180 day booking window in October 2009.  So Disney did experiment with different options before deciding on the current 180 day booking window.  However, these decisions are always subject to change in the future should Disney decide an alternate booking window would serve Guests and the Parks better.

If you take advantage of the 180 day plus 10 booking window, chances are good that you will have good luck this time securing a Be Our Guest dining reservation, especially if you could be a bit flexible with your dining time or date.  If you are unable to secure a dinner reservation, you could enjoy a walk-up casual lunch at Be Our Guest.

Good luck and enjoy your vacation.
