Hello I have a heart condition that limits me from walking long distances. How far will I actually have to walk before I can rent a mobility chair.

Hey there Diahanne and welcome to planDisney!

People from all walks of life visit the Walt Disney World Resort hoping for a little spark of magic to add to their lives. One of my favorite things about the place is its ability to cater to the needs of its Guests. I've seen accommodations for Guests with food allergies, mobility issues, and a host of different disabilities. The concerns of each Guests heart are the top priority and Diahanne, yours is no different.

The Electric Conveyance Vehicle or ECV rental locations are conveniently located just inside each of the 4 theme parks. But there may still be a bit of a walk from the parking lot to get there. Out of an abundance of caution, I'm going to recommend renting from a company like ScooterBug so that you can have an ECV for the entirety of your stay. You can use them on all the modes of Disney Transportation like the Disney Skyliner, the monorail, the ferry, and the buses. There are even portable ones that are super easy to break down and reassemble so they can fit in the trunk of the car. I'd much rather you be safe than sorry.

Diahanne, I hope I've been able to help you today. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back for another chat!

    Happy planning!
