Hi there, Heather!
Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney - I'm happy to help!
One of my favorite things to do on a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is check out the amazing Disney-themed "ink" guests have on display! Over the years, I've seen some amazing tattoo art, from a tiny Tinkerbell on an ankle to a full
Fantasmic! arm sleeve. I've always said if I ever get a tattoo, I'll get a little Mickey Mouse on my hand in glow-in-the-dark ink that will show up on
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith as we twist and turn through the ride!
I'm happy to clarify and debunk the information you might have come across regarding Walt Disney World’s policy on tattoos. It seems that there may be some confusion stemming from a satire site that claimed Disney doesn't allow guests with tattoos in the parks. I’m happy to let you know that this is 100% not true!
Walt Disney World welcomes
all guests, including those with tattoos. The main guideline is that tattoos should not be offensive or inappropriate. The
Walt Disney World Official Rules regarding Guest Courtesy and Attire Policies states,
"Visible tattoos that could be considered inappropriate, such as those containing objectionable language or designs, are not permitted".
As long as your husband's tattoos are family-friendly, he is more than welcome to show them off while enjoying the parks. I love that one of his arm sleeves is "Nightmare Before Christmas" themed! I'm sure Jack Skellington himself would approve.
To your husband - thank you so much for your service. I encourage you to attend the
Flag Retreat ceremony one afternoon in
Magic Kingdom Park - a beautiful tribute to the brave men and women of the military to thank them for all they do to protect our country.
If you have any other questions before your visit, feel free to come back and ask us here at planDisney. We want to make sure your visit is as magical and stress-free as possible!
