Hi, just heard WDW starting Oct. will have a "virtual" pass system for people with disabilities. How much time will they give you to get to each ride? I am assuming it is a timed thing? I am afraid we will be at one end of the park and won't getb

Hi, Jennifer!  The new Disability Access Service card is not quite a virtual pass, and you will know exactly how much time you have to get to an attraction, so you'll be able to plan ahead.

The DAS card will be presented to the cast member at an attraction you would like to do.  Based on the current wait time at the attraction, you will be given a return time that reflects the current wait.  If the wait time is 20 minutes, you'll be given a return time in 20 minutes.  When you return, you will be able to go right into the attraction.

Because you will know in advance how much time you have to wait, you'll have the option to stay nearby and just rest on a bench, or you can go to another attraction without a wait.  You might grab a bite to eat, or you may have time to move further away from the area where you are and go do something else entirely.

I'm so optimistic about this system!  I hope you find it helps your vacation run smoothly!

    Have a wonderful upcoming vacation!
