Hello, I’ve heard that if you travel to Disney world while pregnant you can receive a wrist band to have priority access on rides and skip the lines? Is this only Disney California or Disney world as well?

    Hiya Sabrina,

Welcome to planDisney! If you are expecting, congratulations! I am so excited for you as you begin this new chapter in your Happily Ever After. I actually celebrated my baby moon at Walt Disney World Resort and loved being pregnant at the parks. It was definitely a little more tiring than normal, but there is nothing quite like satisfying your pregnancy cravings with DOLE Whip, Mickey Pretzels, and popcorn.

Sabrina, I’m sorry to disappoint you, but after doing some research, it looks like neither Disneyland Resort in California nor Walt Disney World Resort in Florida currently offers a special priority-access wristband for expectant mothers. There is something like that at Disneyland Paris, but not currently in either of the two parks in the United States. That said, there are still ways to ensure you have the most amazing trip while expecting. If you would like to spend less time waiting in line, definitely consider purchasing the Lightning Lane Multi-Pass. I did this when I was pregnant, and it really made a difference for me! Admittedly, I prioritized snacking and shows that trip to take it more easily, but some of my favorite attractions are bump-friendly (Haunted Mansion, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railroad, and PeopleMover), so I was able to do more of them because I hadn’t spent too much energy waiting in line.

I hope this was helpful, Sabrina, and gives you what you need to plan your vacation. If I had to give you one piece of advice, it would be to take it easy during the trip. Sip your water (bring your own water bottle), enjoy the snacks, sit and people-watch, get Memory Maker (stop for every photo you see), and catch all the shows and fireworks you can. As someone who has been to Walt Disney World Resort a lot, I went into my baby moon ready to hit the ground running. Unfortunately, my body didn’t get the memo, so I had to slow down more than I had planned. But honestly, that was the best. I did so many things I had never done before, just because I slowed down, and that trip is now one of my favorites. If you have any other questions while you are planning your trip, please reach out.

I hope you are enjoying your pregnancy and have a Magical Day!

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
