I have heard that the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Desert Party is only held Mar - Dec. Is that true? We will be visiting WDW 1/2/13-1/11/13.

Hi Kathleen! The Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party is one of the most successful and popular additions to dining that Disney has done over the last few years. Unfortunately it is also one of the most difficult to get as they don't seem to have a set time when you can book the event in advance. Some guests have been able to book three months out and yet others find they can only book about 4-6 weeks out from their arrival date. This event has definitely taken place in January and February in the past but they can change this at any given time. If weather is poor or if they need to do some renovations they will likely shut it at this time of year to get that done before the spring break crowds come in.

I definitely would try to continue to get reservations as the time nears your arrival date. Call dining to see if they have been given a reservation time frame...most of the time they will not be able to tell you but it is worth trying. The persistent guest gets the ressie which can be hard. There are often some same day openings too so if you have not been able to get one on line or by calling then as soon as you get into the park head to Guest Relations and have them put your name on a stand by list.  Good luck and I hope you are able to experience this fun event!
